Sheri,
I’m just getting back into the blogging business after a hiatus. I’m glad to see you are still advocated for those who often go unnoticed. I look forward to reading more of your work and hope you’ll drop in to see mine some time.
Blessings,
Tony
Tony, thanks for stopping by. I’ve been gone awhile myself and have decided to re-enter the world of blogging along with you.
Hi Sheri–I got your question on my blog pages, but the email doesn’t work. Do you have a different email address I can answer at? Feel free to contact me through askatechteacher@gmail.com Thanks!
OK. Will do so just as soon as I get home. Thanks
Thank you for stopping by and reading. You look like you are a very active participant in making life better for others š
Many blessings … God is Good!
Hey! You have very interesting blog. Well Done! I’m glad to see you in my blog too, if you like music or fashion. I play the guitar and your blog is good! š
One of the best things that happened to me in 2014, was finding the amazing woman in you that I will always be always proud to look up to. Thank you for the inspiration, Sheri! And God bless you!
Thank you Sheri for joining up with us it is appreciated, I look forward to sharing with you again.
Christian Love from both of us – Anne
Thank you so much for finding me. I look forward to many positive exchanges as we find ways to help each other and those around us through Jesus Christ, Our Lord. – Sheri
Thanks for checking in, Sheri! God bless you.
Thank you do very much for the advocacy you do for mental health care reform and health care strategyl.
Thank you for following āA Way With Words.ā My joy in writing is made more complete when people read what Iāve written (and even more as they respond).
I write primarily about faith and mental illness, but Iām also known to dabble in other subjects, stories, and even the occasional poem. If you have any requests, please let me know.
I appreciate what you have going here and particularly am grateful for your mental health advocacy. I pray you are blessed in your life and writing, as you bless others.
Gratefully,
Tony Roberts
Sheri, Iāve written about you just now. I cited you as one of three people I would want to know the answers to four questions. No obligation, but the questions are goodā¦ Come and read my praise of you, http://chasingrabbitholes.com/2014/05/21/the-rabbit-had-it-right-i-am-late-for-a-very-important-date/ HuntMode š
Thank you for following my blog. I have a few siblings who were in the military, one recently retired from the Air Force, and at the start of every term in the community college where I teach, as I am asking around for who’s a first term student here, who is returning to school after years, who has a family, etc., I always ask if there are any current military or veterans and I thank them publicly for their service. As you can imagine, these days, I read about more and more PTSD issues in their narrative and descriptive papers. I am humbled by what many go through and have gone through. Some of those stories I will never forget.
Blessings, and I look forward to your upcoming posts.
Hi Phyllis: Sorry it took me so long to get back to you on this post. I believe it’s a good thing you ask your students about where they are in their life at the beginning of your class. I always liked it when professors did the same. I felt it gave me a chance to silently interview prospective friends, study mates, etc.
I also want to know who has specific skills ;).
Cheers.
My husband is currently working with health care reform as well. How interesting that you were a buyer for B&N! I am sure that was an eye-opening experience.
Thank you for offering your support and comments on my post. I am so thankful for anyone willing to lend their voice as I consider how to navigate between my scholarly efforts and my creative writing.
Warmly,
Reagan
Hi Sheri thanks for dropping by and liking my post on teenage road deaths ( I realize like is not the right word but you showed your support) it is one of my banners right now more and more you see people and not just the young ones, driving while on their mobiles , or even texting or reading messages on their phones OH! it makes me so angry why, do they not realize that they are in charge of a deadly weapon! Anyway sorry I do not mean to rant.
I have to apologize. I thought I was following you but I can see now that I am not so I shall be fixing that right now . Be well and be happy .xxx
I knew by your words that it ‘had’ to be a ‘purpose’ and I couldn’t agree with you more. When we lived in DC I was always furious when I’d look over to a car next to me in 6 lanes of traffic going 80 mph bumper to bumper and I’d see someone putting on their make-up or working on their computer. I don’t have a blog ready to post this week. Think I’ll go grab your cause and reblog it.
You should include in your bio…”ball of awesome”! Great blog!
Funny! Mother also said, “Never ever brag or call attention to yourself.” I’m much better at talking about my professional accomplishments but I can still hear ‘that voice.’
thank you my friend for sharing the article and happy greetings of friendship and hopefully, when we share it with sincerity. Greetings from Gede Prama š
I just wanted to pop in and wish you a happy new year!! I am so glad to be journeying along with you here. I pray blessings on your 2014 and always, Dear Friend. š Skye
Skye – Thanks for the happy thoughts. I love the poem you wrote for your father today. My dad and I were oh so close and I miss him every day.
Sheri, thank you for liking my artworks and future likes. May you enjoy my artworks š
Thank you.
Welcome
Have a good week Sheri.
And you too my friend.

Hello Sheri!
Hi Kerry and how are you?
Have a good weekend Sheri!
Kerry – The same to you.
Thank you Sheri for liking my blog, your encouragement is so cherished. God bless you. Take good care of you.
Hi Sheri! Thank you so much for visiting my blog and for the follow. I am honored!
Hi Sheri – Thanks for reading and liking my posts. I’d been thinking about you lately since I hadn’t seen you around the “blog;a-sphere” and knew you were having issues with your hand/arm, among other things. Hope everything’s going okay. Take care.
Thank you for stopping by my blog. š
It was my pleasure. I’m planning on posting a blog in the near future about how so many people are being honest about how the world is affecting them and they aren’t afraid to speak out and seek help. I would like to use your URL and a brief sentence or two (nothing intimate. Then if another blogger wants to check out your blog that would be great and my ultimate goal). The post will tie in to my own need to be honest about my being a full time caregiver while dealing with chronic medical problems of my own. I often have a tendency to ‘pretty up the picture’ and I want my readers to know exactly the wear and tear the process has on an individual. I’m also hope I’ll be able to contribute a bit of money in the near future. I too am operating in the negative cash flow right now but hopefully I’ll have things turned around soon. You present a beautiful blog.
WOW. Thank you, you’re so very kind. And I would be honored to be mentioned on your blog. Look forward to reading it. You know I try to temper the trials with a lot of positivity. And sometimes we shoot ourselves in the foot ( at least I do ) in doing that. š I have always try to be open and honest as I am a realist by nature! I don’t like having to do that all the time. That is my pride that hesitates there. Doubled -edged sword! š¦
Thank you as well on the compliment on my blog. The designing aspect is therapeutic for me. God Bless.
Have a good week Sheri!
Kerry – You are so kind. I hope you have a great week also. It’s amazing to me how time slips away on us.
Hi Sheri! Thank you for following HoB. Correct me if I’m wrong but I think you were already following HoB. Much appreciated!
Yes, I was following all along and then something happened and you fell out of both my e-mail notification plus my reader. I couldn’t allow that as I love Mr. Bowie (and you are ever so clever yourself) and went on a binge read and hit the follow again – I adore Mr. Bowie’s adventures. I blog about my own 27 year relationship with my cat Mortichi under my series of blogs titled, ‘Morti and Me.’
I am very pleased to be visiting here, you have a very nice blog with anyak provide insight knowledge, thank you for willing to share with me, and thank you also follow my blog.,

Your poetry is music to my soul. I love reading it.
thank you for your kindness, and please accept my apology for confusing which poem you were leaving your comment on. and next time i’ll know you read the comments as well. thank you for letting me know because not everyone does.
have a wonderful day *smiles*
There’s never a need to apologize. I read comments even if I only put a ‘like’ on a blog. I feel I deserve the blog that responsibility. If I would be repeating what everyone else has said, I usually just move on. Your poetry really is special and you have a really unique quality. I’m loooking forward to reading more.
Thanks for stopping by? Yes, No?
Ripping book reviews?

I admit I’ve not had time to properly explore your site but after reading your bio I’m looking forward to learning more. I’ll no doubt drop a comment here and there when I have read.

And I yours.
Hello and thank you for dropping by my blog and following , I am looking forward to reading about you and your cat tomorrow!! Have a good day. xxx
Thanks for reading with me. I normally post on Mon and Thu. Morti is one of my slice of life stories and I sneak those in from time to time on Mondays. I’d been doing serious stuff on Monday for a long time and it was rewarding to me in remembering how Morti came into my life and how he opened up my heart.
Animals especially cats are so rewarding and they often work wonders on us humans!
Yes, it’s as is they can look into our soul and know what is going on there. Thanks for reading with me.
my pleasure!
Hi Sheri! Lots of interesting information here. I’m looking forward to doing some reading.
Thanks
Thank you for visiting my blog. Will drop by here as well!
I’m now following you. Your blog has great information on it.
Thanks Sheri for visiting my blog Ajaytao2010@wordpress.com.
Hi and thank you for all the kind words and comments on my blog. It is no more than silly stuff and I feel so small when I read about the work and dedication you give to issues you are interested in. I enjoy reading but seem to not be able to fit it in as much as I would like. I am a retired teacher and am just enjoying the days as they come. Blogging is a new experience. Of course it is new to everyone at one time. I have no real agenda except maybe to provide a little entertainment.
I read that you will hopefully blog again soon. That will be good news to those who are looking forward to reading you again. š
Hi there – You have a great blog. It takes each of us time to find a rhythm that works for us. I feel as though I’ve been away forever this time but it is what it is. I remind myself to be patient with myself and I will get better. I’m also retired. Give yourself the time and space to move into this new phase of your life. Everything is so different after we’re used to working so many years. I enjoy your blog and look forward to reading it.
Hi Sheri,
Thanks for visiting my blog and liking one of my post. I’ve just finishing reading your last post. Hope your arm is better now.
Hi Chris – TX for the well wishes. Recovery is on schedule and am making progress. I hope to be back blogging on my regular schedule in two weeks. I know I can’t rush the process. I’ve learned I can do a lot on the i-Pad and that makes a world of differents in my level of productivity. TX so much for checking in.
Hi Sheri. I popped over here from my blog to check out your digs before class. š You’ve got a great start and have set up many things I’ll go over in class. I hope your arm is feeling better every day. See you in class very soon.
You have a very interesting blog.
Greetings from Australia.
Thank you. I look forward to getting to know you. I love the idea of the wood dragon!
Thank you for dropping by my blog and the ‘Like’.
Regards
Mark
By the way, thank you for your help.
Great! I thought some time ago the title may have been Green Ice, but searches failed to turn up anything. My late step father told me four years ago I was old enough to join AARP. I said, “Thank you for sharing Charlie.”
JK – I’ll run the info through a few search engines and I know a few jewelers (my husband has Stony Bridge Jewelry) – the avatar at the top of my blog is the entrance to his store. He’s also an avid reader and just may recall the title. Between the two of us, we also know a lot of adventure type rock hounds in their 60’s that may recall the name of the book. I’ll let you know.
I haven’t considered listening to books, but I suppose it would be a good thing to do and I might give that a try with “Islands In The Stream.” That was a wonderful book. As for the other book, it seems like these two fellows were flying an old DC3. It may have been that I read this around forty years ago.
JK – Have you thought about listening to ‘Islands In The Stream’ on a CD or other media. On days that my eyes are particularly sensitive, I find listening to books a terrific way to continue my enjoyment. I’ll also ask some of my friends from the book trade and various book groups if your clues of an old airplane, an adventure, South America and emeralds brings a title up for anyone. I’ll let you know. In the meantime, keep taking those fabulous photos. Some of them are so close to pin and ink drawings — incredibly artistic.
My blog pattern normally is a Monday post on something happening in our world that is really getting under my skin and then I post a book review on Thu (I’m an avid reader) and recognize that the genres I read will not be attractive to all followers of my blog. I’m considering branching out a little in my selections.
There is a book I read thirty or so years ago which I really enjoyed. I can’t remember the name of it, I wish I could. It was an action adventure and involved an old airplane, South America and emeralds. I have a hard time reading anything now-a-days, but this is one book I would like to read again. One other is Hemingway’s “Islands In The Stream.”
Thank you for following HoB. Much appreciated! I’ll be hanging around here…
Your photography is some of the best I’ve ever seen with cats. Of course your ability to tag the photos is a genuine gift. Once I stumbled onto your blog last night, I was up an extra hour or so.
Thank you very much for this nice comment.
PS: Don’t stay up too late Sheri…
Hi Sheri, I work in the healthcare field with insurance billing and am interested in learning more about what you do. Mental health needs more advocates, I’m so glad to read you are passionate about this underserved area.
Hello Denise – I was part of the team that wrote the legislation requiring insurance companies to pay equally for mental health care as they did for all other health care provided. You may remember that previous to that legislation, insurance companies could elect to pay from zero to maybe 20% of any given account. Most of my advocacy has to do with enacting legislation at the national level but I also get in at the grassroots and work on behalf of individuals that face stigma in the workplace, those that are homeless, placement for veterans, and one of my new passions is trying to ensure our elderly are not being over-medicated just so they will sleep around the clock.
Hi Sheri,
Somehow I missed your reply here earlier…?…
That is really incredible you were involved with the mental health parity laws. Good for you! I am truly inspired and encouraged to know you are fighting for the rights/benefits of those who may not be able to do so themselves.
Thank you for your amazing contributions to so many areas!
You have been nominated for the Sisters of the blogging world award. http://thoughtsfromanamericanwoman.wordpress.com/2012/11/28/the-heart-of-bloggers/
Blessings, Patty
Patty – Thank you, thank you. Now I owe you two. I promised myself I would get busy and type up the ‘sweet’ award this weekend. You are so very special and I’m blessed to have met you.
Sheri, it is because time flies when we are having fun and I see that in everyone’s blog. We are all enjoying ourselves and that is the most important thing isn’t it? Thank you – I consider it also a blessing!
Thank you for stopping by, it gave me a chance to visit your site. I am the wife of a retired soldier and the mother of an Army National Guardsman, and have started a facebook page for military parents. I am always looking for information to share, especially since most of my parents are for the fist time having to deal with the military. I look forward to searching your page some more and with your permission would like to share your links with my group. Actually I may also learn a few new things too! I am also an avid reader and will be checking out your book reviews. It is so nice to meet you, blessings – Patty
