“Now? Have you lost your mind?!”

This blog written by Huntie at http://chasingrabbitholes.com is one of the best written essays of how we are losing our country one day at a time. Huntie places the issues front and center of what’s happening, how it’s happening and please, can we wake up and do something before it’s too late. I’d planned to post a blog of my own today, but Huntie’s post demanded prompt attention. Might I also suggest you follow this blog. You will not be disappointed. Not only does Huntie have a marvelous intellect but she’s as funny as all get out. Sheri

Chasing Rabbit Holes

Perhaps you have heard something about illegal children crossing our southern border? More than 52,000 unaccompanied minors and 39,000 women with children have been apprehended on the southern border this year. How to handle this surge? Especially since a law passed in 2008 forbids returning children from non-contiguous countries, i.e., El Salvador, Honduras, and Guatemala, which happen to be the three countries most of these children are coming from. This law requires that each case be reviewed to prevent abuse of the children from human trafficking. Imagine the chaos ongoing. Something like 70% our our border patrol are taking care of this constant influx of children. It is not as if the children are sneaking through. No, not all. They walk up and present themselves to the border patrol. President Obama has requested $3.7 Billion to deal with this humanitarian crisis. How much of that proposed $3.7 Billion is to…

  1. I read this on Huntie’s blog when she posted. Makes you want to shake somebody.

Sheri, I love Hunt’s blog and have since the very post of hers’ I read. She is one of the most astute people I have ever encountered. Her mind is a steel trap, and her thoughts so well organized. She has the means to convey any message that even those knuckleheads in DC would be able to understand if they weren’t so interested in padding their own pockets. Yes I call them crooks because they are. There are so many things this country needs to do to turn itself around, to get back on the right track, to become a 1st class country again. Sheri, I don’t mean to rant, but damn, Huntie is so right. Take care, Bill

    • Bill, I agree with you 100%. Huntie’s blog is so right on target and if ‘those folks’ in DC weren’t so busy trying to figure out how to destroy what little is left of our country, they could understand what Huntie so clearly points out.
You have the right to rant, Bill. Heck, I rant all the time. Each time I read another bulletin being shot my way I want to scream and throw things. However, I’ve never been a screamer or a thrower of things. I never saw it accomplish much. I have taken satisfaction in sailing a few choice items from a 2nd floor deck but those were under different circumstances.)

  3. Sheri … if you stack it all on top of a garbage heap, you’d get a picture of what America has become. Sadly, from the two Bush’s to this admin … we are not losing our country, we have LOST is already and it is never coming back.

You and Huntie can rail, you can inform, and you can disclose. Your words are lost in the gale winds that sweep across this land from “sea to shinning sea” and take more and more of what our generation remembers was once a wonderful and beautiful place to live. And no matter how informed the few who give a damn are, there is nothing that can stem this tide. Sorry … but that is how I “see” it and there is little evidence that it will change in our lifetime.

    • Florence – It may not change in our lifetime but I’m not going to throw in the towel and do nothing. I’m willing to take a stand on behalf of our children and our grandchildren. They won’t have a country such as the one we grew up in if we don’t continue to work at being better citizens of the country we now live in.

      • You go girl. I guess you fight the fight some of us have decided to quit. Who knows, maybe my grandchildren will help turn things around because of what they learn from women like yourself 🙂

        • Florence – Please my friend, we have to start the fight now and keep at it or are children will suffer far more than they already do and our grandchildren won’t have a chance because I don’t think we’ll have a country left by then. If we were to go to the big bank aka China and they called the debt of the US, we could not pay. We do not have the cash reserve and too much of our land is already owned by China and other foreign countries (not our allies) to count on as an asset. When banks started calling in farm loans in the mid 70’s – and they have never stopped – our lands – what was once the breadbasket of the world went to foreign governments.

  4. Elaine says:

Thanks for sharing this reblog with us Sheri! I pray people will begin to open their eyes to what is going on instead of the usual ignorance of the facts because they feel they can’t do anything about it and that they don’t count!

  5. M-R says:

    Wot ? – follow HUNTIE ?
    NEVER !!!
Well, OK … I already do. [grin]
But I would NEVER tell her that she’s funny: that’d only make her more irreverent of the things we’re all mean to be reverential towards. 🙂

  6. Great reblog, Sheri. The post makes me shake my head in bewilderment. I just do NOT get it. Patti

    • Patti – Unfortunately everything Huntie posted in her blog is true. Then, if that isn’t enough, there’s so much more that’s killing what our country has always stood for. No one can be uninformed any longer. We must collectively regain what little dignity we have left after the Obama administration’s socialism and the reign of the two Bush’s administrations. We know we’ll never be the same. Too many lies have been stacked on top of too many lies.
