As a responsible party host, how will you ensure people don’t drink and drive when leaving your holiday festivities? What would you do if a friend of yours wanted to drive impaired? To what length would you go to stop them? I’d love to hear your thoughts?
On August 1, 2009, my beautiful mother-in-law’s life was cut tragically short by an impaired driver and my stepson’s life changed forever.
My blogging friend Natalie is an awesome advocate for MADD Canada. We're approaching New Year's Eve and I thought this post was an excellent reminder for all of us. We're responsible for not only ourselves but those around us. Thank you Natalie for this thought provoking blog.

Thank you for this message. I knew someone who spent 5 yrs in prison for killing someone while driving under the influence. I was raised in an alcoholic home so I know the effects that go beyond just “having a good time”.
Patty – Alcohol and drugs or any form of living with a mind/body impaired condition is so serious. The very idea that some never consider the consequences when sliding behind the wheel of a car and the lives they are capable of destroying, causes me to shudder.
me too, especially since I remember a few times my dad did just that.
